From there, we can incorporate anything else a customer wants or needs for their kitchen remodel. Below, you’ll find before-and-after photos, product information, and an introduction to the trusted vendors and brands we use in our kitchen remodels.

Countertops.
Countertops and tile are from Daltile (Quartz, Quartzite, Natural Stones, Granite, etc.), and LivingStone which is the acrylic countertop option we us in bathrooms as well.
The difference between Quartz, Quartzite, Natural Stone, and Granite
1. Quartz
Quartz is an engineered countertop, which means it’s man-made using crushed natural quartz mixed with resins and pigments.
What that means for the customer:
- Very consistent color and pattern
- Low maintenance
- Non-porous, so it doesn’t usually need sealing
- Resists stains well
- Great for busy kitchens
Best for: Someone who wants a clean, polished look with easy upkeep.
Simple way to say it:
“Quartz gives you the look of stone, but with less maintenance and more consistency.”

2. Quartzite
Quartzite is a natural stone that starts as sandstone and changes over time through heat and pressure.
What that means for the customer:
- Natural, one-of-a-kind veining and movement
- Often looks similar to marble
- Harder than many other stones
- Usually needs sealing because it is natural and can be porous
- More maintenance than quartz
Best for: Someone who loves the beauty of natural stone and wants a high-end, unique look.
Simple way to say it:
“Quartzite is a real natural stone with dramatic beauty, but it needs a little more care than quartz.”

3. Natural Stone
Natural stone is the big category. It includes materials like:
- Granite
- Marble
- Quartzite
- Soapstone
- Slate
What that means for the customer:
- Every slab is unique
- Offers a more organic, luxurious look
- Maintenance depends on the specific stone
- Some stones stain or etch more easily than others
Best for: Someone who wants authentic, natural beauty and doesn’t mind some upkeep.
Simple way to say it:
“Natural stone means your countertop comes directly from the earth, so every piece is unique.”

4. Granite
Granite is a type of natural stone. It’s one of the most popular countertop materials.
What that means for the customer:
- Natural beauty with unique patterns
- Very durable
- Heat resistant
- Usually needs periodic sealing
- Typically more forgiving than marble
Best for: Someone who wants real stone, durability, and a classic countertop choice.
Simple way to say it:
“Granite is a natural stone known for durability, character, and everyday performance.”
